Volleyball Centre + Hotel is a mixed-use sports and hospitality complex designed as a contemporary landmark for Zadar. The project combines professional sports infrastructure with accommodation, creating a multifunctional environment that supports athletes, visitors, and the city throughout the year.
Program
The program is conceived as a comprehensive sports ecosystem rather than a single-purpose facility. Professional training, recovery, accommodation, education, and public use are combined into one coherent system - allowing the complex to function year-round, both during major events and in everyday conditions. This layered program becomes the backbone of the architectural organization.
Vision
The vision of the project is to create a destination where high-performance sport, recovery, and everyday life coexist. Designed primarily as a training base for professional volleyball teams, the complex remains intentionally flexible - capable of supporting a wide range of sports, users, and intensities. By integrating sports infrastructure with hospitality, wellness, and medical facilities, the project aspires to form a contemporary Mediterranean sports city - serving both international athletes and the local community.
